Statement by General James L. Jones on the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007

Press Release
December 19, 2007
“U.S. policy makers deserve credit for tackling a tough set of issues in its latest energy bill. But the bill fails the comprehensive energy security test. While we applaud their effort to make our nation more energy efficient, they have not addressed the broad range of our energy needs — more diversity, new technologies, more production and expanded and modernized infrastructure, all of which lead to greater energy security.”
