The U.S. Chamber issued the following statement applauding the reintroduction of the American Nuclear Infrastructure Act:
"We commend Senators Capito, Whitehouse, Barrasso, Booker, and Crapo for reintroducing the American Nuclear Infrastructure Act. Nuclear is the nation’s clean energy workhorse, and it must play a vital and growing role as a solution to both climate- and energy-related challenges. The bipartisan ANIA bill lays a comprehensive foundation for re-establishing America’s global leadership in nuclear energy by streamlining the permitting process, supporting preservation of the existing nuclear fleet, and revitalizing the supply chain infrastructure necessary to enhance the competitiveness of the U.S. nuclear industry. The Chamber is pleased to support this legislation and encourages Congress to act on it in a timely manner."
