The U.S. Chamber of Commerce sent the following letter to Members of the House Committee on Natural Resources, supporting H.R. 2925, the "Mining Regulatory Clarity Act of 2023" in Committee markup.
"Rapidly increasing demand for critical minerals coupled with advancing geopolitical instability makes developing a secure and reliable domestic supply chain for critical minerals vital. H.R. 2925 would help remove permitting obstacles for domestic critical mineral development and enable common sense construction and safety practices at potential mine sites by establishing a process to enable operators to use, occupy, and conduct operations on public land before mineral deposit have been positively identified."
